Everyone go to this site RIGHT NOW. Then come back here. Pretty please?
I got my momAgenda daily calendar as a holiday gift and after some use, I must share the goodies within.
Take your everyday daily calendar. Exchange the cover for a beautiful, soft fabric in chocolate brown or pink-rose faux crocodile skin. Then, at the bottom of each calendar page, add a “dinner” section and split the “to do’s” so there’s enough room for you to write your daily shenanigans AND an entire section devoted to child-rearing activities.
I won’t give away everything, nor am I doing a giveaway, but do check out this amazing organizational item and its company website at MomAgenda.com. Don’t you love being this organized ?
Apropos Amber’s interview, I took out a pile of library books on the topic of The Website Owner. If you publish a website-related book, by the time it hits stores–let alone the library–it’s dated and no longer applicable…to much of anything.
Where do the Gods of Trader Joe’s reside so that I may thank them?
It’s all so easy. So instant. Need warm, perfectly cooked rice? Just 3 minutes in the microwave. Don’t have time to order Chinese, let alone go out for some? Pop a pile of mandarin chicken in the oven, bake for 20 minutes, and voila! Want moist, tasty brussel sprouts to accompany that protein? A mere 5 minutes in the ‘wave and you’ll kick yourself for having spent years trying to blanch (who has time to blanch?) those suckers and then pop them in the oven and bake just short of the correct amount of time so that you end up eating semi-sour hard nuggets.
In literally 28 minutes, you can have a perfectly cooked meal.
If ever I recommend a website to you, know that I have not been paid. These are websites I use myself, truly enjoy, find interesting, or think may be useful to you.
Mint.com - It’s “the best free way to manage your money.” It really is. You can figure out how to pay off debts (credit card, school), manage investments, and best of all, create budgets for your new business.
SitterCity.com – Proud to introduce you to this company, based in my hometown. You can find yourself a babysitter, nanny, pet sitter, senior caregiver, house sitter, or tutor on this site. The only thing they’re missing is the husband sitter.
Zwaggle.com - You can share, trade or swap used kids stuff. While I can’t vouch for said stuffs’ cleanliness, I’m pretty sure you have some garbage that is another mom’s treasure.
By now, I’m sure you’ve read Malcolm Gladwell’s acclaimed book Outliers. And by now, I’m sure you’ve seen all the YouTube clips of Mr. Gladwell discussing his interesting take on Fleetwood Mac’s story.
But if you’re like me and you’ve had no time to do much of either, check out this video. It’s Mister Malcolm himself discussing a brilliant theory, The Ten-Thousand Hours Rule, which suggests that it takes us all 10,000 hours (about 10 years) of practice to become “good” at what we do.
So, stop rushing, take a breath, and check out this interesting stuff.
